The Portsmouth Trojans travelled to Florida in 2011 and 2013 and competed in the KSA Holiday Tournament which is held in Orlando at Disneyworld. Here are the results for each year:
2011: Portsmouth 55, Pace, Florida 43; Los Alamitos, CA 55, Portsmouth 38; Portsmouth 53, Spanish River, FL 47 OT
2013: Portsmouth 55, Cinnaminson (NJ) 34; Portsmouth 61, Owen County, KY 54; Portsmouth 67, Liberty Christian Prep 63
The Trojans finished 3rd out of an 8 team pool in 2011, and won the championship from an 8 team pool in 2013. To date, PHS has compiled a very impressive 5-1 record in KSA competition. Liberty Christian, the team the Trojans defeated for the championship, boasted a roster which included players 7-4, 6-10, 6-7, 6-6, 6-5, and 6-4.
