Portsmouth(3-0) 72, Huntington St.Joe 43...........Matthew Fraulini 28, Danny Lattimore and MyQuel McKinley also double figures. Trojans outscored the Irish 37-6 combined in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Fraulini averaging 24 PPG through 3 games.
Coal Grove 66, Portsmouth (3-1) 54.........Matthew Fraulini led PHS with 27 points. Trojans fell behind 18-10 after 1 quarter and 40-26 at the half. Outrebounded the Hornets 36-33 and forced 18 turnovers. Hornets have won 4 of the last 5 games vs. the Trojans.
Portsmouth (4-1) 47, South Point 45.........MyQuel McKinley 19 points, Miles Shipp 18. Trojans trailed at the half 29-20, but McKinley scored the game winning basket with just 4 seconds to play.
Western Pike 64, Portsmouth (4-2) 61.....Matthew Fraulini 19 points, Danny Lattimore 17, MyQuel McKinley 12.........the Trojans had a chance to score the game winning basket with the score 62-61 Western, but the shot fell off the rim and the Indians sealed the game with 2 FT's.
Portsmouth West 61, Portsmouth (4-3) 47.........Senators jumped to an 18-6 lead and were never threatened. Had as much as a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter. Scoring totals for PHS unavailable.

Chesapeake 62, Portsmouth (5-4) 52.........Trojans jumped to a 10-0 lead and 20-8 after 1 quarter, but the Panthers rallied for win. Scoring totals unavailable, but Matthew Fraulini led Portsmouth.
Wheelersburg 70, Portsmouth (5-5) 57........Trojans came back from a 33-25 halftime deficit to tie the game at 40, but Burg rallied in the 4th quarter. Matthew Fraulini had 23 points.

Ironton 73, Portsmouth (6-8) 56.............Tigers led 24-10, PHS cut the lead to 33-29 at the half........Matthew Fraulini led PHS with 20 points; Ethan Wilson of Ironton scored his 1,000 point.
South Webster 68, Portsmouth 54 (6-9).....Jeeps had big 2nd half to pull away from the Trojans........Danny Lattimore led PHS with 15 points
Coal Grove 64, Portsmouth (6-10) 33......Hornets jumped to a 12-4 lead and were never threatened. Matthew Fraulini led the Trojans with 19 points. CG has won 5 of 6 vs. PHS.
South Point 57, Portsmouth (6-11) 56......Trojans had a 44-36 lead late in 3rd quarter. SP's Austin Webb made winning FT with 6 seconds left. No scoring available.
Chesapeake 60, Portsmouth (6-12) 31......Panthers jumped to an 11-0 lead and Trojans never rallied.......no Trojan scored in double figures.

Gallia Academy 55, Portsmouth (7-13) 37..........Trojans cut a 16 point lead to 7 in the 4th quarter, but couldn't get any closer. Matthew Fraulini scored 15 points.
Fairland 60, Portsmouth (7-14) 35........Dragons had a double digit lead by the 2nd quarter and Trojans never rallied........Danny Lattimore led with 18 points. Fairland wins OVC title.
Ironton 69, Portsmouth (7-15) 24...........Trojans only played starting 5 for 1st quarter; worst margin of loss ever to Ironton. Jayllen Thomas and Richie Bowman led with 5 points apiece.

SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT

Portsmouth 47, Portsmouth West 46..........MuQuel McKinley made a 5 foot jumper in the lane at the buzzer to give the Trojans the win. McKinley led PHS with 16 points, Danny Lattimore had 13, and Matthew Fraulini had 11.
Portsmouth plays #1 seed Adena on Friday at 6:00 PM at Waverly.

Sectional championship: Adena 57, Portsmouth 54........Trojans had a 1 point lead with a minute to play, but couldn't hold on. Matthew Fraulini led the Trojans in scoring (total unavailable).

Portsmouth ends the 2018-2019 season with an 8-16 record. The 16 losses is only the 4th time in school history that a Trojan team has lost at least 16 games in a season (1962, 2006, 2007, 2019).
