Patrick Tubbs is officially a member of the PHS 1,000 points club. He scored a total of 396 points his sophomore year, 461 points his junior year, and 440 points his senior season, for a total of 1,297 points. In addition, Tubbs also posted 3 games of 30 points or more, including a career high 34 vs. Warren in the 1987 season, 30 vs. Ironton in 1987, and 30 vs. Russell the same season. Tubbs, David Barnes, and Dominic McKinley, all starters since their sophomore seasons of 1986, are among the winningest players in PHS history, compiling an amazing record of 65 wins against only 12 losses, including a D2 state championship in 1988. The Trojans' Phil Whitehead, the 11th leading scorer in PHS history, had a 67-10 record as a 3 year starter.

Update 1/31/20: I originally had posted Patrick's total at 1,286, but forgot to include his 11 points scored in the 1988 state tournament. That puts his total to 1,297, still good for 5th place all time.
Update 2/3/20: Talked with Mike Lovenguth and he informed me that he did not score 1,000 points. He scored over 500 his senior season and over 300 as a junior.
